Make your voice count in 2026
Ready to get engaged? 2026 is a big year to make our voices heard—and to follow in the footsteps of those who risked a lot, sometimes their lives, to make voting accessible for all.
The Greater Huachuca Area Branch NAACP is committed to protecting voting rights, strengthening civic participation, and ensuring our community has what it needs to be represented—fairly and fully—at every level of government.

Our focus: Nonpartisan. Community-centered. Action-oriented.
We work to:
-
Increase voter participation through education, outreach, and support
-
Promote fair representation and equal access to the political process
-
Share trusted, official election information and help reduce confusion and barriers
-
Build local partnerships that expand civic engagement year-round (not just during elections)
What we’re doing in 2026
Voter engagement and education
We host community sessions to help residents understand:
-
why local elections matter (schools, public safety, infrastructure, healthcare access)
-
how voting rights are protected and where challenges can show up
-
how to spot misinformation and rely on verified sources
Get Out to Vote outreach
We coordinate community outreach efforts such as:
-
phone/text banking (nonpartisan)
-
community tabling at events
-
neighborhood “commit to vote” campaigns
Advocacy for access and fairness
We support efforts that expand equal access and strengthen fair representation—especially for communities that have historically faced barriers.
How you can help right now
-
Join our volunteer team (events, outreach, communications, logistics)
-
Become a community partner (churches, schools, nonprofits, businesses, clubs)
-
Host a civic conversation (we can provide a facilitator and discussion guide)
-
Share our materials on social media and in newsletters

Trusted election information
For accurate election information, always rely on official election offices and official government sources for your state and county.

What can I do right now?
Stay informed and prepared
Make sure your voter information is accurate and up to date by using official election sources. Election systems are evolving, and while some platforms may feel less intuitive right now, they remain the most reliable source of accurate information. Staying informed early helps reduce last-minute barriers.
Commit to participate
Make a personal commitment to vote in every election—local, state, and national. Local elections, in particular, directly affect schools, public safety, healthcare access, and community resources.
Encourage others to engage
Talk with family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers about the importance of civic participation. Share trusted, official information and help others understand why their voice matters.
Volunteer your time
Support nonpartisan civic engagement efforts by volunteering at community events, assisting with outreach, or helping distribute educational materials. Collective effort amplifies individual impact.
Stay connected year-round
Civic engagement doesn’t end on Election Day. Attend community meetings, stay informed about local issues, and remain engaged with organizations working to protect voting rights and fair representation.
